Sleekline Industries started operating in February 1985 as a family business, and remains so today. Sleekline has grown to employ 14 full time staff and supplies sleepers to all parts of Australia. Sleekline also exports to New Zealand. Sleekline builds and fits sleepers to all brands of trucks and continues to develop new and innovative products for the transport industry.
Sleekline developed the first full fibreglass sleeper and went on to integrate these sleepers into the truck cab, which removed the need for the rubber boot between the cab and the sleeper. The integration of the sleeper allowed for larger sleepers to be fitted as there was no longer a gap between the sleeper and cab. In most cases, this allowed for a larger cut into the rear wall, thereby allowing the seat to move back, and providing extra leg room for the driver. By designing and devolving our own air suspension frame to mount the cab and sleeper together on the one platform. We still build all of our own components for the air suspension frame and have developed it to suit all the popular brands of truck sold in Australia.
Sleekline Industries has been building full fibreglass sleepers for 24 years, and we have never had a structural failure in any of our sleepers. Because of the durability of fibreglass, the sleepers are providing many years of trouble free service to our valued customers Australia wide.
Sleekline Industries sleepers can be fitted to modern trucks that comply with ECE-R29, and Doug Wadey is an authorised officer by Queensland Transport, and as such, any sleeper fitted by Sleekline Industries and modifications to the truck are plated to confirm that the modifications comply with the relevant codes.
